Why Support Antelope Valley Ballet?
AVB Brings Dance to the Community
Founded 1998, AV Ballet is the only dance company residing in the Antelope Valley. We have brought dance to over 55,000 audience members with special performances designed for students, senior citizens and the disabled. Over the past 18 years we have brought in over 24 guest artists, master teachers, and guest choreographers from New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Oklahoma Festival Ballet, and Cincinnati Ballet.
AVB is Building a National Reputation for Excellence
AV Ballet dancers have been selected to participate in the most prestigious professional ballet summer programs in the nation including School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Rock, Texas Ballet Theater, Ballet Met, Ballet Austin, Inland Pacific Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Lines Contemporary Dance.
AVB Provides Arts Education to Thousands of Area School Children
We have partnered with the LPAC Foundation to bring our lecture demonstration program “Let’s Make a Ballet” to area schools. Kindergarten through eighth grade students participate in the creation of a ballet and learn how this unique art form is created. This year we are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Lancaster Public Library to present a new ballet series for children celebrating storytelling through ballet called “Stories In Motion”. Presented at the Lancaster Public Library, this series is free and open to the public.
AVB Dancers Give Back to the Community
Not only are our dancers amazing artists, but they also are generous individuals eager to give back to their community. Our dancers have volunteered for Soles for Souls (shoe donations), Places of Joy, the Acton Library, Grace Resources, as well as various church organizations.
